Love For Imperfect Things- How to accept yourself in a world striving for perfection.

Author: Haemin Sunim
Rating 4/5
I chose to read this book as it's a spiritual read and so that it could be beneficial for my mental health due to self-acceptance.

About the book: Haemin Sunim is a Buddhist and prior to this he embarks on studying the religion as it becomes his main interest. There are many chapters in this book which make the reader feel inner-peace, to self-accept one self, family and those around them. My favourite chapter is the final chapter of the book which is acceptance. This relates to me because somethings cannot be achieved due to my situation or background which you have to accept. Another chapter which is worth reviewing is courage. You need to be courageous to let go of the negative energy of the past and be enlightened which means present mind.
Throughout the opening of chapters Haemin Sunim writes his own encounters such as his relationship with his father, when listening to Haemin finds out that he doesnt have stomach cancer because he goes under a gastroscopic test.

On the other hand, Jack who suffers from autism severely, relies on his routine which is to go to college, can communicate very little verbally by using repeated phrases (echolalia) and has picky eating habits. He hasnt gone through the same social spindle as his brother as he hasnt faced bullying even though outsiders do feel his stimming is rather odd.  Both brothers share the same love for tra...
