Surrounded by idiots  Author: thomas erikson Rating: 3 out of 5 stars This is a book I decided to read during quarantine. This book was an interesting read and is also well structured. The book is based on Marston theory of behaviour which is then further developed by the author. The 4 behaviour personalities are: red, yellow, green and blue. As majority of the population are green, I also self-identify as a green. Also, majority of people also have two colours.  Briefly, reds are quick, fiesty, dont like repetition or routine and you would tend to find your boss to be a red. Yellows are happy go lucky, dont listen though they think they do and are very creative. Greens are neutral, great listeners, can be whiny and laid back. Blues like routine, are very analytical but also critical.  This book also talks about anger and stress management and how these behaviour personalities deal with the anger and stress. There is a history of this behaviour persona...
The Rosie Result Rating: 3.5/5 stars Author: Graeme Simsion This book is a sequel to the Rosie Project. I rated this book 3.5 out of 5 stars because it does include real situations in it such as Don and Rosie having to adjust their work schedules according to Hudson's (their son) schooling. This book is about Don and his son living parallel lives. It brings us back to Don's upbringing and how he didnt want to have the relationship with Hudson how he had with his father. Don and Hudson both self-identify themselves as autistic as they both struggled to socially fit in at school. Don had helped Hudson fit In at school by helping him learn things that are neurotypical of nature such as learning how to catch a ball.  Don also builds his own business known as 'The Library' which is a bar with a suitable atmosphere for Aspies. Hudson is very intelligent for his age and learns to code for the app and this brings success to the business as many customers ...
My first book review on SM Book Blog Title of book: why we sleep Author: Matthew Walker My rating: 5 stars Just finished reading this book that I bought as a birthday present as i was gifted a waterstones gift card by my sister. I had my eye on this book for a while and I had already read a chapter of this book inside the store. This book is on the recommended reading list of Bill Gates which you would find on Gates Notes. Now onto my review of this book. This book was an interesting read and I would definitely recommend it to science/ psychology/ health students. What I learnt from this book is that there is alot more to just obtaining around 8 hours of sleep per night. A person will go through light NREM sleep, Deep NREM sleep to REM sleep till wakefulness. These are the four stages of sleep and it has been found that some people have disturbed sleep in these stages such as those with Austism Spectrum Disorder. It has been found that not getting eno...
